This application enables optimal placement ofMurata's DNT90 module assemblies in DNT-based wireless networks bycontinuously displaying an attached assembly's transmit quality andreceive power relative to a selected parent. When the applicationdetermines that the connection is of high quality, it displays"GOOD SIGNAL". When the signal is of lower quality, it displays"WEAK SIGNAL". This application also allows the operator to scanthe RF environment for the parent device that provides the mostreliable connection, then connect to that device.This application is intended to run on a 7" tablet (such as aNexus 7) with On-the-Go (OTG) capability. The tablet's OTGcapability is mandatory, since it supplies the attached DNT moduleassembly with its DC power and USB communications interface. TheDNT90 wireless module enclosure contains a PCB that routes tabletpower to the module, implements the required USB-to-serialcommunications interface, and provides an external antennaconnection.
